Cerith Wyn Evans Royal Cllege of Art London 1984

This portrait is in the permanent collection of  The National Portrait Gallery, London and is available to purchase in a signed Limited Edition of 5 and 2AP on archival photographic paper.

The image was taken on the set of Cerith’s film Epiphany shot at The Royal College of Art in 1984

Cerith often showed his films with Derek Jarman and John Maybury at places such as the B2 Gallery in Wapping and the Film makers Co-op in Camden Town, both now long gone. He was one of the YBA artists in ‘Sensation’ at the RA, although I always associate him with this early period before the YBA’s, when the new and emerging London art scene was interwoven with the gay scene. He often collaborated with Leigh Bowery and Michael Clark and is represented by White Cube
