01 Jan Patrick Procktor Obituary 2003

It meant such a lot that one of my pictures was used for one of Patrick’s obituaries. Our friendship of twenty years had lasted until his death.  I owe him so much and have so many incredible memories of our times together – some fun …and some really cringeworthy (!) but they are treasured. This picture was taken in his studio room on the first floor of his house in Manchester St. The walls of the studio were painted by Kitaj, Beaton and Hockney but were sadly lost when Patrick burnt the house down.  Here he is painting one of the works for his show Under Egyptian Skies at The Redfern Gallery
